The BoatStats report provides information about the Boat model and Boat
manufacturer/s which is helpful when purchasing or inspecting and
maintaining your recreational craft.
-
The BoatStats report provides the principal recreational craft
dimensions and establishes clear Aims and Objectives of the report for
the user.
-
It identifies the number of Marine Surveys in the BoatStats database for
your Boat and the number of defects extracted from the total number of
Marine Surveys held against the model.
-
The report provides age ranges of crafts surveyed and presents a graph
showing the number of surveys against specific craft ages.
-
The reported defects are
categorised
into 11 key areas with the number of defects identified for each
category.
-
The report provides the particular location of the defect within the
defect category, allowing inspection
of a particular area on a prospective craft or on an existing craft.
-
The report presents the number of defects against the age of the craft.
This information is helpful as it can indicate the age where the defects
will peak which is indicative of the time to carryout a full overhaul
and refit of the craft.
-
The BoatStats report is not an alternative to carrying out a full Boat
Survey by a Professional Yacht Surveyor, it is designed to complement a
decision making process when selecting a craft for purchase and is
designed for existing owners to assist them with their maintenance
programme on their craft.
-
The development site user feedback has provided requests for additional
information on the BoatStats Reports. One area for inclusion is the
specific component. BoatStats are currently updating the database for a
future release. Watch out in the BoatStats news page for information on
this update. Users who purchase an existing BoatStats Report will
automatically receive the updated report when the defective component
field is included.
