BoatStats
Press Release At 12:00hrs GMT today BoatStats, launched the alpha version of its boat survey defect analysis Web site. The web site www.boatstats.com is now fully functional with access to reports available to the boat owning and boat buying public. “The responses we received from all sectors of the boat industry have provided essential feedback for us to launch the Alpha version ahead of schedule” reported Nigel T Packer Marketing Director of CEProof International the owners of BoatStats.com. “We have seen considerable interest from boat owners, buyers and builders. Each asking for more information and when they can have full access to the reports in the database” he added. The site has been live for only two weeks and is already getting enquiries from sectors of the market which were not considered as potential users. These include boat sales companies as well as some boat manufacturers and insurance companies. There has also been a considerable interest from Professional Yacht surveyors who, not only want to access the information in the site, but are keen to provide BoatStats with their archive of surveys. “The more surveys we get in the more diverse the range of boats we will have available for boat buyers and owners” was Nigel’s comment on this. “The boating world has long awaited this type of service which has been available to car buyers for many years” was a comment reported from one of the senior members of the Yacht surveying industry. he process of getting a boat defect report is quite straightforward, after registering on the site you can search the database by boat model or by boat manufacturer. The report can then be purchased for £10 through the online payment system. The site itself has useful tips from buying a boat and contracting a surveyor to establishing marine finance and marine insurance. “We have a team of skilled technicians reviewing and inputting surveys to the database every day growing the database. We are adding a thousand defects from marine surveys a month which will make the site a valuable resource for all those in Boating” Nigel T Packer concluded. END
